About Nick Calderone

How I Got Here.
I’ve spent most of my life talking for a living—somewhat accidentally becoming a professional storyteller.
For 30 years, that was my world. Newsrooms. Live shots. National television. Often with no script, no safety net, and no second take.
I got it wrong a lot. And over time, I learned how to get it right.
My first live shot in Flagstaff was during a brutal winter storm. I’m freezing, trying to keep track of timing, cues, what I’m supposed to say…The anchor asks me something about the cold. And I respond, on live television: “My butt cheeks are quivering.” So yeah… I didn’t come out of the womb media-trained. Nobody does. But I learned.
I learned how to slow down when everything feels fast. How to find the message when your brain is spinning. How to look like you belong there—even when you’re not sure you do. That’s what I teach now. I work with leaders, teams, and anyone who has to communicate when it actually counts—on camera, in meetings, on stage, or in moments where people are watching and forming opinions fast. No scripts. No fake energy. No trying to turn you into someone you’re not. Just helping you get clear, show up confident, and say what you actually mean—so people get it, remember it, and trust you. And when I’m not doing that, I’m usually outside—because I’ve learned I show up a whole lot better when there’s sunlight instead of studio lights.
